3rd 9 weeks, week 6

Dear Family,

The kids had a great time at the Valentine Party yesterday, check out seesaw to see the pictures! Thank you for all the love on Valentine's Day, I truly appreciate all the thoughtful gifts, chocolate and cards!

Next week…

Math: This week in math, students will continue with place value. The focus will be comparing 2-digit numbers using place value.  

Science: This week we will wrap our unit on sorting and classifying living and nonliving things based upon whether they have basic needs and produce offspring.

Reading/Writing:  This week we will begin our unit on poetry. We will be focusing on sensory poems and using our five senses to describe our topic to help paint a picture in the reader’s mind.

Balanced Literacy: This week in Social Studies we will be looking more at Goods and Services and where we see these in everyday life.  During phonics, we will be exploring onsets and rimes in known words.
