Math: This
week students will work with 2D/3D shapes. Students will describe shapes based
on their attributes. Students will also use objects and pictorial models to
solve word problems involving joining.
Science: This week students will compare and contrast the properties of
soil by size, texture, and color. We will also identify how rocks, soil,
and water are used to make products.
Reading/Writing: This week we will be learning about the elements of fairy
tales. We will be using our depth and complexity icons to identify the
fairy tale elements in the stories we read. Students will use the elements to
create and write their own fairy tale.
Balanced Literacy: In Social Studies, the students will be presenting their
timelines over their holidays. In phonics, we will be concentrating on
hearing and saying the beginning sounds in words as well as rhyming words.
